History
Foxwood Diesel (formerly known as Foxwood Boring and Grinding Ltd.) was founded in May 1988. It was originally located near Chesterfield at a 3,000 sq. ft. site at Foxwood Road in Sheepbridge, which gave the company, its name which has remained to this day.
In December 1994, the company relocated to its present site, significantly larger at 5,000 sq. ft, on Whitting Valley Road in Old Whittington.
The original focus of the company was to service the municipal and national bus companies, providing items such as cylinder heads, blocks and crankshafts, alongside serving many local machining companies. In recent times, the focus has expanded in order to serve the local market and is also now an official Cummins agent.
In 2003, the company changed its name to 'Foxwood Diesel' in order to reflect its target market, after the decision was made to expand its services by building complete diesel engines for the bus, coach, construction, truck and plant industries.
The company can now be said to boast one of the best equipped workshops in the local area. The workshop provides a wide range of services, many of which can be viewed here.
