Leigh shortlisted for National Apprenticeship Award
Foxwood Diesel’s very own Leigh Worsdale has been shortlisted for the East Midlands Apprentice of the Year award at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2017.
Foxwood Diesel’s very own Leigh Worsdale has been shortlisted for the East Midlands Apprentice of the Year award at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2017. If Leigh scoops the award, this will be her third win in only 6 months!
Leigh, who joined Foxwood Diesel as an apprentice Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Builder after completing her GCSEs, was named as AMRC Training Centre’s ‘Apprentice of the Year in April earlier this year. She followed this in May when she won the title of Chesterfield Apprentice of the Year at the North Midlands and South Yorkshire (NMSY) Apprenticeship Awards.

She is now hoping to take home the East Midlands Apprentice of the Year title in October at the National Apprenticeship Awards which are organised by the National Apprenticeship Service.
The Midlands Regional Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday 2 October at Sketchley Grange Hotel, where the winners will be announced.
If Leigh secures the latest award then she will be put forward for the overall national title, the winner of which will be announced in January 2018.
For Leigh to be recognised once again, this time at the regional awards, is fantastic.
