Cummins ISB Reconditioned Engines
The 4 cylinder ISB4.5 engine has become one of the most widely used engines across the UK and Europe for low-carbon diesel-electric hybrid buses. In recent years, further improvements have been made to the ISB 4.5 to accommodate a wider range of applications, vehicle weights and duty cycles, not to mention this Cummins ISB engine moves up to a new peak torque of 850Nm from 760Nm.
The Cummins B series engine family has an impressive history ranging from pre-Euro 1 up to Euro 6 with major technology updates including turbocharging, charge air cooling, electronic controls, high-pressure common rail fuel systems, increased displacement and exhaust after treatment.
Cummins ISB Series Engine Remanufacturing Process
Here at Foxwood Diesel, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional service to our customers and as we specialise in remanufacturing Cummins engines we can guarantee your engine will be as good as new once it leaves our workshop.
The remanufacturing process includes:
- • Full engine strip down and diagnosis
- • Quality check and cleaning of all component
- • Crankshaft regrinding
- • Connecting rod re-bushing and resizing
- • Cylinder block boring or honing
- • Cylinder head pressure test and refacing
- • Replacement valve guides and valve seats
- • New core plugs fitted, cleaned and assembled with new stem seals
- • Remanufactured turbos, pistons, fuel systems and injectors
With a fresh layer of paint and a certificate of successful engine testing also included, all engines are rebuilt to an exceptionally high standard.
